This is me and my family. My family is a big support to my barbecue adventure. You have probably seen my eldest in some of my videos to endorse the quality of my products.
Funny thing is that if it wasn't for my wife I probably never would have started this hobby. She gave me my first barbecue kettle for my birthday. The year after that she entered me in a barbecue competition on a local television program, where I ended up second. The best thing was that I was asked to join a bbq team which competed for the Dutch BBQ championship and we won!
From that point on barbecuing really took off. Every year I get to do a workshop and demonstration for Big Green Egg and ofcourse I started my own YouTube channel. I call it "youtube barbecue blogging".
The barbecue blogging works really well with my busy live and my job. Every week I find time to start up the barbecue and prepare something tasty for my family. So everthing you see that I cook is going on to our dinner table.
I find that barbecue is something I can do with my family and also with friends. It brings us together and lets us enjoy some of the tastiest meal I ever had.
